This is a great opportunity to contribute to a large, complex system with great importance while still being part of a close-knit, growing company.<\/p>\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p id=\"u33557-14\">Use your experience and expertise to:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"u33557-29\" class=\"list0 nls-None\">\n<li id=\"u33557-16\">Provide Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) deployment support, testing and interface of related software and computer systems.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-18\">Determine if STARS \/ Terminal Automation Modernization and Replacement (TAMR) and Elite systems being deployed are supportable, maintainable and certifiable.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-20\">Gather data for Facility Reference Data (FRD).<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-22\">Load software, firmware, adaptation and configuration information.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-24\">Determine user requirements, perform system-wide analysis and function allocation, exhibit an understanding of the requirements and responsive approach to the customer and satisfy the customer requirements as requested.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-26\">Interface with specialists from other areas of the FAA including Operational Support Facilities (OSF), SOS and Terminal Second Level Engineering (TSLE).<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-28\">Travel as needed (50%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<p id=\"u33557-34\">We need you to:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"u33557-49\" class=\"list0 nls-None\">\n<li id=\"u33557-36\">Possess experience in the specific NAS system software, in FAA procedural requirements, and in satisfying the requirements in the areas of STARS \/ TAMR deployment, standardization and other engineering consideration regarding FAA missions and NAS systems.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-38\">Be knowledgeable of both state-of-the-art and aging technologies that comprise the NAS and the products from the emerging NAS modernization program.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-40\">Help generate trip reports from deployment leads.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-42\">Collect data from multiple deployment sites.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-44\">Be able to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-46\">Have good communication, scheduling and organization skills.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-48\">Have the ability and desire to learn complex software systems, mainframes and microcomputer programming using a variety of applications and operating system software packages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And you should have:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"u33557-76\" class=\"list0 nls-None\">\n<li>A high school diploma or GED.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-60\"><span id=\"u33557-55\">Three (3) years of related experience, including FAA procedural requirements<\/span> .\n<ul id=\"u33557-59\" class=\"list2\">\n<li id=\"u33557-58\">Or an Associate&#8217;s Degree in a related field and one (1) year of experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-64\">Experience in a variety of <span id=\"u33557-62\">Basic Computer Skills<\/span> and the ability to learn tasks related to FAA technical operations \/ Air Traffic Control (ATC) functions.<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-67\"><span id=\"u33557-65\">Basic networking skills<\/span> (such as how routers, switches and hub work together).<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-69\">The ability and background to understand the high level architecture of STARTS and the Common Automated Radar Terminal Systems (CARTS).<\/li>\n<li id=\"u33557-73\">A <span id=\"u33557-71\">basic understanding of electronic component installation and wiring<\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For a full job description and to apply, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foveaaero.com\/tech_specialist_sta_t7008.html\">click here now<\/a>!<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Technical Specialist &#8211; National Airspace Experience Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey Summary Fovea Aero is adding to our team a full-time technical specialist with National Airspace System (NAS) experience to provide software and computer integration, deployment support, testing, and maintenance support for the FAA&#8217;s air traffic control terminals and related systems.
